Filtering the news and diluting the truth

Most mornings I sit and watch the BBC news. Mainly because they never go through the entire show without screwing up at least once, and in a funny way, but also for the guy who reads all the newspapers and reports on his findings. Comparing articles, making smart alec dead serious but funny comments. I like that guy. I never have to read the newspapers anymore. He reports on the news about the news.

I just realized that with all the adnews-links I put in here and on Adland, I've kinda been doing the same thing lately. Isn't that sad? We've become newsfilters instead of newsreaders, and the audience is getting an ever more watered down version of what is happening. Like homeopathic news. The water remembers the original story, sure.
